Explore electricity and electric circuits

What is static electricity? How can you charge an object? What are the types of electric charges? What is electric current and how can you make a simple electric circuit? What is electric resistance and electrical conductivity? Which are the main parts of an electric circuit and which are the different types of electric circuits?

Using simple everyday materials, kids will perform experiments in order to explore electric charges, static electricity and the different charging methods. They will also construct simple electric circuits and discover two different types of electric circuits.

Τhe following materials will be needed:

- 3 balloons
- a drink can
- a piece of wool cloth
- 1 meter of thin thread
- salt and pepper
- aluminum foil
- a 9 Volt battery
- scotch tape
- 3 pieces of cardboard 40 cm x 40 cm
- 4 lamps Ε10 (9V, 12V) (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/G0AAAOSwwgVeBhxM/s-l300.jpg) and 4 lamp holders (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/af8AAOSwzppaBcXL/s-l300.jpg)
