A hands-on exploration of the rules that cause matter to change.
The “Glimpses into the Microcosm” experiment demonstration: "The Secrets of Chemical Changes" explores the properties of matter and the rules governing its changes through experiments.
First, we explore the states and physical changes of matter through the behavior of unusual materials and conduct a “boiling contest” among different compounds, highlighting the effect of intermolecular forces on the physical properties of materials.
Next, we move from physical to chemical changes, examining chemical properties of matter such as acidity and studying redox reactions through the striking reaction of the “chemical chameleon.”
Through extreme endothermic and exothermic reactions, we observe the energy changes associated with chemical reactions and study the role of catalysts in the rate of a reaction.
Finally, we put Le Chatelier’s principle into practice by influencing the dynamic equilibrium of a “violent” chemical reaction.
