The NAUS project aims to document and highlight, with the help of cutting-edge technologies and impressive interactive digital “experiences,” Greece’s rich shipbuilding tradition and its remarkable maritime history.

Given that shipbuilding, the art of navigation, and seafaring are important chapters in the history of Greece—a history that is closely intertwined with the sea— the NAUS project places special emphasis on the many and varied ships and vessels that have been designed and built over the centuries for different purposes and uses, and recognizes that these vessels constitute a major part of our country’s maritime heritage and tradition.
