Eight years after the launch of the Apollo Program, on July 16, 1969, Apollo 11 set out on its journey to the Moon. Four days later, as he took his first step on the surface of the Moon, Neil Armstrong spoke the words that would remain forever etched in our collective memory: "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Today, more than 50 years after the completion of the Apollo program, the new Artemis space program has already taken up the baton for returning humans to the Moon. The program's primary goal is to land the first woman and the first African American astronaut on the Moon in 2026.
