Is there life beyond Earth? The discovery of particularly resilient microorganisms in some of the most extreme environments on our planet highlights the fascinating possibility that simple life forms may have developed elsewhere in the Solar System.
But what are the basic prerequisites for life, and which celestial bodies in our solar system are most likely to have supported—either now or in the past—the emergence of its simplest forms? It is true that the search for microbial life beyond Earth is still in its infancy, but the first steps toward exploring these worlds have already been taken.
In this video, we briefly present the answers to questions related to life in our solar system, as well as the efforts made so far to detect signs of it.
