In the 12th episode of the series Space Series we focus on Mars, the legendary Red Planet!

Shortly before the dawn of the 20th century, the American astronomer Percival Lowell, one of the most prominent scholars of Mars at the time, believed he had discovered evidence on its surface of the existence of extraterrestrials!

In the years that followed, of course, the exploration of the Red Planet revealed a world that was inhospitable to life—dry and frozen.

According to all indications, however, this planet was once considerably warmer, had a dense atmosphere, and the water on its surface formed lakes and seas. If that were indeed the case, how did the water it once had disappear? Did microbes appear on Mars when the planet was more hospitable to life? The exploration of the Red Planet continues, and someday the first astronauts will walk on its surface.
