The greater a star's mass at birth, the faster it consumes its nuclear "fuel" and the younger it dies. In the 6th episode of the Space Series, we explore the evolution of the Universe’s giant stars, which end their lives in just a few million years, in unimaginably violent supernova explosions, leaving behind either neutron stars or black holes, and enriching space with the heaviest elements they synthesized within themselves while they were still alive.
