More than 80 years have passed since the first evidence was discovered of a strange form of matter that is everywhere yet invisible: dark matter. Since then, evidence for the existence of dark matter has multiplied, although its nature remains “dark.” From the world’s largest particle accelerator to the dark matter detectors installed deep within abandoned mines, the “hunt” for dark matter continues.
