In Search of Dark Matter

More than 80 years have passed since astronomer Fritz Zwicky discovered the first evidence of a strange form of matter that is everywhere and yet invisible: dark matter. Since then, evidence for the existence of dark matter has multiplied, although its nature remains as “dark” as ever! From the world’s largest particle accelerator, located at CERN, to the underground dark matter detectors installed deep within abandoned mines, the “hunt” for dark matter continues.
