Prototyping is the final, very important step in user experience (UX) design—the experience a user has on a website or app. During the prototyping process, we can, for the first time, “interact” with the website or app and explore its features and capabilities in practice, with the goal of achieving optimal usability.
In this workshop, we'll learn about the process of creating a mobile app prototype in a simple and easy-to-understand way. Based on the app's specifications and the elements that will appear on the app's screens, we will create the prototype and program it using the Thunkable platform.
We will explore the basic concepts of programming, such as commands, variables, datasets, and data sources. Finally, once the application is complete, we’ll test the app’s functionality in real time to correct any potential flaws and errors.
Learning Objectives:
-Participants will become familiar with computer science concepts such as visual programming and prototyping.
-Learn to use basic programming elements such as commands, variables, datasets, and data sources.
-To be able to design and create a prototype of a functional application for mobile devices.
-Adopt exploratory and algorithmic thinking in order to use information correctly for the implementation of the final application.
-To develop their digital skills and creativity.
-To learn through active participation and the process of trial and error.
