Seventy years.
A moment in eternity
And yet, in that brief moment, the world changed more than ever before.
There was no internet. There were no cell phones. Artificial intelligence was just a concept.
Black holes existed only in physicists' equations. DNA had only just begun to reveal its secrets.
Robots were more a part of science fiction than of everyday life. In just seven decades, science has changed nearly every aspect of our lives.
The way we communicate. Where we receive treatment. Where we're traveling. Where we work. Where we learn. Where we understand the Universe.
And he continues.
Because science isn't a story that's already been written. It's a chain reaction. One idea leads to the next. An experiment changes a theory.
A question leads to a discovery. And a single discovery can change the world.
What If
Because every discovery begins with observation.
To mark the 70th anniversary of its founding, the Eugenides Foundation is presenting its new Science Festival. A two-day event dedicated to curiosity. In experimentation.
In the questions that open up new paths.
And in the joy of discovery. For two days, the entire Foundation is transformed into an open space celebrating science, where young and old alike can take part.
Friday, September 18
Discover the science behind the world. The first day of the Festival is dedicated to the big ideas that have shaped the world as we know it today and to the tools of science that help us distinguish knowledge from misinformation.
Experience the Planetarium. Explore the universe through special shows in the country’s largest dome and discover worlds millions of kilometers away.
Think critically
He attended talks and discussions on pseudoscience, conspiracy theories, and the importance of the scientific method in a world overflowing with information.
Give it a try
The Interactive Science and Technology Exhibition opens its doors with 57 interactive exhibits, where physics, math, biology, and technology become a game. At this major celebration of science, the experience is enriched with mini-workshops and hands-on activities, giving visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience the Exhibition in new ways.
Give it a try. Discover. Create.
Sign up for workshops in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Robotics
Saturday, September 19
Science is coming out into the open. On Saturday, the Festival turns into a big celebration of science for the whole family.
Search for clues in a big treasure hunt.
Solve puzzles and trivia games.
Watch an impressive Tech Show.
Experience explosive experiments that prove that physics and chemistry can take your breath away.
Travel through space inside the dome of the Digital Planetarium.
Get up close and personal with robots, 3D printers, and technologies that are already changing the world.
Meet scientists, researchers, and teams who are turning ideas into reality.
And then what?
In 1956, no one could have imagined the world as it is today.
Just as we can't imagine what the world will be like in 2096.
That doesn't mean, however, that construction hasn't already begun.
It is built upon every question.
In every experiment.
In every new idea.
What if
It wasn't always that way.
It won't stay that way.
Because the future has a history
