Textbooks for students at Secondary Technical and Vocational Schools

In 1979, the Secondary Technical and Vocational Schools were established to serve students who did not wish to enroll in junior high school.

Graduates of these schools could, if they wished, continue their studies in the second year of technical and vocational high schools.

This option available to graduates required textbook authors to organize the curriculum content in such a way so that students continuing their studies in high school would have the necessary preparation in various subjects, such as physics.  The number of titles in this library totals 16.

The books in this library are no longer published by the Eugenides Foundation, ever since the Secondary Technical and Vocational Education Schools were abolished.

Car

This book provides, in as simple a manner as possible, some basic information on the description, operation, and maintenance of a car. This knowledge will contribute to the proper and safe use of the car, resulting in significant cost savings, an extension of its lifespan and useful life, and a notable reduction in accidents.

Machine Tools Specialization Lab

The main purpose of this volume is to apply the knowledge gained from certain technology courses in school and to provide students with hands-on practice in machine tool workshops, in accordance with the requirements of industrial practice. In particular, this volume focuses on the lathe, which is the most fundamental of all machine tools for machining engineering materials.

Specialized Laboratory of the Department of Electrical Engineering

This book is intended for first-year students in the Electrical Engineering Department of Intermediate Technical Schools and includes the electrical measurement exercises that students will perform in the Specialized Laboratory. The purpose of this text is to serve as a useful and practical resource for the exercises in the Electrical Measurements Laboratory.

Automotive Engineering Laboratory - Volume I

This book is intended for second-year students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in automotive engineering. It includes 50 exercises covering the assembly, operation, and maintenance of a typical automobile engine.

Applied Electrical Engineering - Electrical Measuring Instruments

This book is intended for first-year students in the Electrical Engineering Department of the Medium-Level Technical Vocational Schools. It covers electric currents, electromagnetic phenomena, alternating currents (both single-phase and three-phase), and electrical measuring instruments.

Mechanical Engineering Laboratory - Issue A

This book is intended for first-year students in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Technical Schools and includes 10 laboratory exercises. These exercises cover the material related to measuring dimensions and the tools used for engraving, clamping, striking, and cutting in three-dimensional space.

Mechanical Engineering Laboratory - Issue 2

This second issue of the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory is intended for first-year students in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Intermediate Technical Schools. It includes 19 exercises covering hot and cold forming, piping, fittings, welding, metal casting, machine tools, and power engines.

Mechanical Design

This book examines mechanical designs. It begins with the design of the simplest mechanical structures and moves on to more common scenarios. In this way, the student will be able to easily draw any mechanical component assigned to them.

Mechanical Engineering Technology

This book is intended for students at technical secondary schools. Its purpose is to familiarize students with topics in mechanical engineering technology in general, and specifically in the field of machine tools, and to guide them toward a deeper understanding of these tools as means that effectively contribute to and advance humanity’s technological progress.

Elements of Applied Electrical Engineering

This book is intended for future mechanical technicians and aims, on the one hand, to teach them how to protect themselves from electric shock by checking that the devices and instruments they use are safe, andon the other hand, to acquire a basic understanding of electrical engineering, which is essential for their professional careers.

Winding Technology (2nd Edition)

This book is intended for students at Technical Vocational Schools and is also designed to serve as a valuable resource for technical personnel involved in the manufacture of windings and the repair of electric motors. However, it can also be used by lower-level personnel involved in winding and repairing electric motors in the relevant workshops.

Welding Technology (2nd edition)

The main purpose of this book is to present the types of welds, the various methods and the scope of application of each method, the preparation and procedure for performing the weld, and finally the selection of the appropriate conditions under which welding should be performed.
