A new planetarium show, Science Shows, and workshops on technology, programming and Artificial Intelligence come together in the Eugenides Foundation’s new programme.

For 70 years, the Eugenides Foundation has remained committed to a mission that is as relevant today as ever: bringing knowledge, science and technology closer to young people and society.

From the exploration of space and the mysteries of the human body to earthquakes and volcanoes, and from major milestones in scientific thought to programming, video games, drones and Artificial Intelligence, the new programme transforms science and technology into an experience.

New Planetarium Show: “3-2-1 Liftoff!”

Just how difficult is it to get into space?

The new planetarium show “3-2-1 Liftoff!” introduces us to Elon, a brilliant but underestimated hamster scientist who lives in a scrapyard. When a mysterious crash leaves a crater in his garden and he discovers a damaged robot inside it, an unexpected adventure begins, with one goal: to help the robot return to its spaceship in time.

Filled with humour and emotion, the story explores perseverance, problem-solving and scientific thinking through impressive cinematic visuals.

Discover our extensive programme of 12+ planetarium shows and journey through the mysteries of the Universe with unique audiovisual experiences at the Eugenides Foundation’s New Digital Planetarium.

New Science Shows at the Science and Technology Center: Science Comes to Life

At the Science and Technology Center, science is no longer simply theory; it becomes experimentation, observation and hands-on experience.

In the new Science Show “Young Scientists: The Amazing Adventures of the Heart and Brain”, children aged 8 and above discover how the human body works: how the heart beats, how blood travels through the body, what lies within the world of cells, and how the brain, nervous system and senses work together continuously.

In “Young Scientists: Earthquakes and Volcanoes”, attention turns to the forces that shape our planet. Through experiments and interactive activities, participants explore earthquakes, seismic waves, earthquake-resistant structures, tsunamis and the power of volcanoes.

For older audiences, the interactive show “Milestones in the Evolution of Science” takes a different journey: through the development of scientific thought itself. From the early Greek natural philosophers and Galileo’s experiments to the microscope, the birth of modern Chemistry, and discoveries relating to electricity and magnetism.

At the same time, at the largest interactive Science and Technology Exhibition in Greece, science is not something you simply observe — it is something you experience. Across a specially designed two-level space, 57 interactive exhibitsinvite visitors of all ages to touch, test and experiment: to play with light and sound, watch lightning being generated before their eyes, explore the world of DNA and microscopy, solve puzzles, and operate and programme robots. From Physics, Chemistry and Biology to Mathematics, Computer Science and Robotics, scientific knowledge is transformed into an exciting hands-on experience of discovery and play.

UTech Lab: From Video Games to Space

At the UTech Lab, young people move from being users of technology to becoming its creators.

Through the new workshop series, children and teenagers discover programming and game design by creating their own games in Roblox and Scratch, journey from cave paintings to modern chatbots, experiment with electronics, and even explore how we communicate with spacecraft.

Roblox Game Makers, “From Cave Paintings to Artificial Intelligence”, Jump and Win, Boo! Glow Up Your Ghost, and Space Hackers: Communication with Space come together in a programme where learning meets creativity and play.

AI Workshops: Artificial Intelligence as a Creative Tool

Artificial Intelligence now has a dynamic place of its own in the Eugenides Foundation’s new programme.

Programming, drones, Python, game design, object recognition and robotics come together in workshops that enable young people not only to use new technologies, but also to understand how they work and create with them.

In “Code & Drones: Flying, Programming & AI”, participants combine drone operation with programming and Artificial Intelligence algorithms. In the Retro Games with Python workshops, they create classic arcade games from scratch, while in No Code Game Design, they harness the power of Artificial Intelligence and prompts to design their own game without requiring any prior programming knowledge.

And in “Artificial Intelligence in Your Hands”, technology becomes even more tangible: participants discover how they can control a robot using their own hand gestures.
