The Eugenides Foundation’s new Science Festival will take place on September 18 and 19

What if you could travel to space, take part in a scientific experiment, learn about world-changing technologies, and discover just how much science is actually all around us?

On September 18 and 19, the Eugenides Foundation celebrates its 70th anniversary in a completely new way and presents, for the first time, the What If Science Festival.

For two days, the Foundation’s premises are transformed into a vast playground for young and old alike. Experiments, STEMworkshops, technology demonstrations, knowledge games, talks, meetings with scientists and researchers and special special screenings at our Digital Planetarium invite us not just to watch science, but to experience it.

With the central message “It wasn’t always like this”, What If examines everything that has changed over the past 70 years and poses a new question: What might change in the years to come?

On Friday, September 18, the focus is on great scientific ideas, critical thinking, experimentation, and discovery. On Saturday, September 19, the Foundation is opening its doors even wider to families, with STEMactivities, technology, games, experiments, and hands-on activities for all ages.

Because science isn't just found in laboratories and books. It lies in the questions we ask, in what we discover, and in all the things that once seemed impossible.

70 Years of the Eugenides Foundation

The year 2026 marks a milestone for the Eugenides Foundation, as it celebrates 70 years of uninterrupted and multifaceted contributions to education, knowledge, and the development of skills among the youth of our country. This 70-year journey was the result of a collective effort. A journey shared with thousands of people: students, teachers, families, scientists, technicians, and professionals. A journey that kept knowledge alive, open, and accessible to everyone. A journey that paved the way. Which provided direction. Which shaped a better tomorrow. Because the future doesn't just happen. We're shaping it together. And the future has a history.
