The exhibition “The Eugenides Foundation through the Pages of Naftika Chronika”, organised as part of the celebrations marking the Eugenides Foundation’s 70th anniversary, remains accessible through its virtual tour, inviting the public on a journey through 70 years of history, knowledge, technical education, shipping and social contribution.

Through archival and photographic material, rare documents, historical exhibits and publications from Naftika Chronika, the exhibition highlights the Eugenides Foundation’s longstanding contribution to Greek society, science and maritime education.

The exhibition sheds light on significant moments in the life and work of national benefactor Eugenides Eugenides, Marianthi Simou and Nikolaos Vernikos-Eugenides, presenting photographs, objects, historical documents, publications and material from the Naftika Chronika archives. It also showcases the Foundation’s scholarships and donations, its publishing activities, its close relationship with the maritime community and its contribution to public life in Greece.

Through the virtual tour, visitors can discover lesser-known aspects of the Foundation’s history and of its landmark building on Syngrou Avenue, from its construction to its transformation into a modern centre for science, technology and education.
