The Eugenides Foundation Library has been operating since 1966 as a model specialized library, offering services that support access to knowledge, education, research, and lifelong learning.
Basic Operating Principles
Since its founding, the Library has been guided by two fundamental principles:
• Open and free access to the facilities and collections
• Lending service available to anyone interested [eef.edu.gr]
Today, the Library operates as a hybrid library, combining:
• Print and digital collections
• modern information technologies
With the redesign of (2018–2023), it aims to:
• to expand the collections in areas such as:
o technical and maritime education
o natural sciences
o new technologies
• the modernization of services through the digital environment
Member Access and Registration
• Admission to and use of the Library is free for everyone. Free registration in the
membership database is required• Upon registering with the Library, each interested individual receives a membership card with a unique code, which grants them access to the Library’s facilities and services.

Its goal is to serve as a modern space for learning and creative exploration, promoting information literacy, critical thinking, and the active participation of citizens in the knowledge society.
