Alexis Delivorias has been a member of the scientific team of the Eugenides Foundation’s New Digital Planetarium since 2003. He writes and scientifically edits the scripts and narration for the Planetarium’s shows, having learned this “art” alongside the late Dionysis Simopoulos, and also writes and edits the accompanying show guides.
He also writes popular science articles on astronomy for the Eugenides Foundation’s website, as well as the scripts and narration for the Space Series videos.
From 2003 to 2005, he was also a member of the scientific team of the Eugenides Foundation’s Science and Technology Centre, contributing to the final stages of the design of its first exhibition, with primary responsibility for the scientific editing of the explanatory texts accompanying the exhibits.
He graduated from the Department of Physics at the University of Sussex in 1991. He holds an MSc in Astronomy from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the same university, as well as a PhD from the Centre for Particle Theory at Durham University in the United Kingdom.
