Textbooks for Higher Technical Education Schools.

The books in the Technical Library were primarily intended for students in higher technical education.

However, they could also be used by students at the Public Merchant Marine Schools (D.S.E.N.) and, in some cases, by students at intermediate technical schools, because the authors took into account the detailed curricula of these schools when developing the course material.

This series consists of 11 titles, which are no longer published following the abolition of the Higher Technical Education schools.

Basic Knowledge of Telephony and Telegraphy

The purpose of this book is to provide basic knowledge of telephony and telegraphy to those who are primarily encountering these subjects for the first time. At the same time, however, it can be a useful resource for those already working in the telecommunications sector who wish to expand their knowledge into other areas.

Industrial Chemistry - Volume I

This first volume of Industrial Chemistry describes the physical and chemical processes that take place in the chemical industry. To provide a more complete understanding of how various industries operate, an effort was made to include the necessary diagrams and illustrations. Furthermore, of the many technological methods available, only those that are appropriate for Greek technical and economic conditions are being developed.

General Chemistry - Volume I (Introduction)

This edition of *General Chemistry* from the Technical Library covers the general knowledge of chemistry as a whole, which is essential for any further technological specialization. Specifically, this volume contains the laws, theories, and fundamental concepts of chemistry.

General Chemistry - Volume II (Inorganic)

This second volume of General Chemistry covers Inorganic Chemistry. Topics related to elements and their compounds are organized into groups based on their classification in Mendeleev’s Periodic Table.

Lectures on Audiovisual Teaching Aids

This issue includes abstracts of 25 presentations related to education and audiovisual teaching aids. These summaries are part of a series of 46 lectures that took place from January 10, 1968, to May 5, 1970, at the Eugenides Foundation, as part of a series of talks and lectures on scientific and technical topics.

Interior Electrical Installations

This book aims to provide the reader, as comprehensively as possible, with all the knowledge required for the installation of indoor electrical systems. Thus, the materials used in indoor electrical installations are described in detail, installation and inspection instructions are provided, and their various components are described.

The Library (Organization and Operations)

This book aims to include all the necessary information regarding the organization and operation of a modern library. Of course, it does not cover the entire field of library science or all the specific situations that arise in the operation of a library; however, it serves as an overview, a practical guide, that can prove to be a useful resource for Greek librarians.

Handbook of Mathematical Formulas and Tables

This book is a handy reference guide for the calculations that every student or graduate of a vocational school or high school—as well as every scientist—will need to perform in their day-to-day work. It includes tables of values for all functions and expressions, tables showing the equivalences of units of measurement for physical quantities, and a reference guide for Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, trigonometry, and the basics of statistics.

Teaching Aids

During the 1967–1968 academic year, the Eugenides Foundation hosted, among other events, 14 lectures on the topic of “Audiovisual media in the service of teaching and the dissemination of scientific information.” In three of these lectures, the speaker was Yves J. Palau, Associate Professor of Electromechanics, Yves J. Palau, author of this textbook, which was translated and published by the Eugenides Foundation.

Engineering Materials Technology

The purpose of this book is to help readers understand the crystal structure, the mechanical and other characteristic properties, the heat treatments, and the industrial applications of the most commonly used ones. This textbook is primarily intended for students in higher technical education, but it can also be useful for students at both Merchant Marine Academies and technical secondary schools.
