“The Invisible Giant of Our Blue Planet”.

The event will feature leading researchers from the Plankton Planet Consortium, CNRS, Sorbonne University, Station Biologique de Roscoff (France), and SeaLabX (Plougastel-Daoulas, France).

Twenty-five years ago, a satellite began measuring the color of the ocean’s waters and revealed an immense, unseen mass of life moving through our seas. Since then, researchers have been studying this living matter — counting, naming, and striving to understand its diversity and role in Earth’s ecosystems.
