The European project SkillSea was implemented under the Key Action 2 (Sector Skills Alliances) of EU-funded Erasmus+ programme, aimed at producing a sustainable skills strategy for maritime and related activities, both at sea and ashore. Within SkillSea, a set of educational packages was produced, including a toolbox to develop more educational material.

Also, the Eugenides Foundation in collaboration with the Business School of Hamburg (HSBA) developed five (5) innovative open access tools within the context of the SkillSea project, in order to assist MET providers, maritime professionals and other MET stakeholders in strategic internationalization, cooperation and evaluation processes, and to enable versatile employability assessments of skills profiles. MET-NET (Maritime Education and Training Network) is one of the main project outcomes to strengthen the developed strategy for sustainable futureproof skills.
