Participants learn about the technology of 3D printing. They explore the different parts of a three-dimensional printer and understand how it works. They understand the applications of 3D Printing in various areas of modern life and learn about the various 3D printing materials.

Then they design their own three-dimensional simple creatures using the appropriate design software. The designed creature body is being used as the shell for a simple electrical circuit that includes a motor and two batteries. The students make the electrical circuit and place it inside the shell. When the circuit is finalized and all components are into place, the creature starts moving in front of the participant’s eyes!

Throughout the workshop, students apply the method of Design Thinking based on three stages: Prototyping, Testing and Refining.

The workshop is conducted in the Greek language.
